During the pandemic, which put na end to hundreds of thousands of lives of the Brazilian people, it was expected that labor audit policy would be able to minimize the negative impacts of COVID-19 in the work environment, intervening either guiding or penalizing. This paper aims at critically analyzing the Brazilian labor audit in the pandemic, which prioritized a reduced number of urgent actions rather than acting on the whole scope of legal action. Quantitative data will be displayed and analyzed using descriptive statistic, through measures of central tendency. In addition, hypothesis and questions about omissions and mistakes of this policy will be formulated, because it has not acknowledged the difficulties faced, especially those related to serious impacts in labor security and health, discrimination, violence and harassment at work, labor conditions equivalent to slavery and child labor eradication.
