There seems to be a consensus in national and international literature that the primary prevention of psychosocial risk factors at work (FRPT), the study of personal, organizational factors and the individual-organization interface, which influence occupational health, social and economic repercussions, and the implementation of programs (assistance to employees and family-work, among others) should be prioritized. Despite the evidence available, the prevention and management of psychosocial risks are not properly considered in the political agendas. The objective of this research was to evaluate the psychosocial risk factors related to work in a segment of state public employees working at the Social Security Agency (AGEPREV) in Campo Grande/MS. A cross-sectional exploratory-descriptive study was conducted with a quantitative approach. The convenience sample consisted of 34 administrative public servants. The socio-demographic data was collected, and the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ) was used to detect the psychosocial risk factors perceived by the sample. As a result, the COPSOQ II subscales exposed the predominance of intermediate risk situations for the public servant’s health, showing a level of suffering experienced by them that may have repercussions on their health. The study concludes that there is a need to implement intervention strategies with actions of prevention and health promotion with this population.
