Abstract

The present work deals with the impacts of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in the Brazilian scenario of child labor and exploitation of children and adolescents, especially those aged fourteen or over, establishing its scope of analysis on the contracts of learning. In this context, the article under review aims to carry out, through a review of the bibliography relating to the subject and the effects of COVID-19, as well as consulting legislative sources, international documents and quantitative data, a systemic analysis of the current functions and purposes assumed by the legal institute of the learning contract in the Brazilian legal system, so that, in the end, concluding by the risks that the pandemic represents to the fulfillment of these same purposes, coping strategies capable of minimizing the damage caused by the health crisis experienced, in order to ensure young people the observance of their fundamental rights, putting into effect the dictates of the Doctrine of Integral Protection and the principle of the prohibition of social retrogression.
