The objective of the research was to investigate the effects of shift work, according to the type of shift work and the number of days off. The literature review demonstrates adverse shift work effects on physical and mental health, social and family life. 508 questionnaires were answered with data processing done by SPSS and Iramuteq. Since the promulgation of the 1988 Constitution, which established a six-hour limit for daily work shifts in uninterrupted relay work, previously done by relaying four groups of shifts for eight hours a day, collective work agreements took place to comply with the constitutional limit with the implementation of five groups. Psychic problems in fixed night and afternoon shifts, of shifts without a five groups, are respectively double and 50% more than in the five groups. In the discussion, it can be seen that all workers confirm the harmful effects of the literature shift. It’s possible that the greater number of days off will reduce the harmful effects of the shift on health and social and family life. Conclusions: In the case of the five groups, the greater the days off, and the greater financial supplement for shift work, there will be less physical and mental health problems, and improvements in social and family life.
