Social Theory, although inclined to make reflections that claim universality, is historically marked by androcentrism. In this sense, to advocate for a theoretical approach not solely centered on male subjects, which has emerged in Feminist Theory, this brief article focuses on the discussion between Marxist labor theory of value and feminist theory of social reproduction. It is structured into four parts and final considerations. In the first section, I propose a discussion of the position of Feminist Theory in Social Theory. The second section briefly reflects on the Marxian notion of Labor-Value. Following that, I develop an introductory discussion on the Theories of Social Reproduction in relation to Labor-Value Theory. Finally, my aim is to demonstrate the contribution of Feminist Theory in Social Theory through the efforts of feminist-marxist theory of Social Reproduction in contributing to the debate on integrating gender issues into the Marxist theory of social relations of production in capitalism.
