Abstract

This work aims to address the legislative changes that Brazilian unionism has faced since November 2017, when Law 13.467 / 17 (known as “labor reform”) introduced new rules that affect labor relations. To do this, a more detailed approach of two institutes modified by the reform will be made, the optional union contribution and the possibility to negotiate hour banking individually. Considering the deductive methodology, the research intends to demonstrate how these different legal changes of the CLT modify the life of Brazilian unions, resulting in a decrease in the collection of entities and the loss of an important bargain for collective bargaining.
