This article presents the results of seven interviews to acarajé sellers from Bahia in the Brotas neighborhood, in the city of Salvador, Bahia, regarding their experiences as informal street work and their perceptions about labor regulation. The questions asked as the central point of the city of Work and the impacts of the Pandemic. Furthermore, previous and comparative researches are also brought together, seeking to draw an overview of the transformations in the acarajé craft, with an analysis of the legislation in force in the city with regard to public order and cultural and intangible heritage. It was also aimed at the historical moment in which research was carried out, understanding the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the acarajé baianas through the category of Informal Work.
