What would be the role of social sanctions derived from administrative ordinances, in private relationships, in safeguarding human rights for the eradication of contemporary slave labor? The article aims to analyze, through a case study of ADPF 509, the role of social sanctions arising from the publicization of employers (whether individuals or legal entities) in the Register of Employers who have subjected workers to contemporary slave labor for the protection of human rights and to fulfill Sustainable Development Goal 8 (decent work) of the 2030 Agenda. The research, of a qualitative nature, is bibliographic and documentary. Among the results obtained, it is concluded that social sanctions play a crucial role in the protection of human rights, while highlighting their fundamental contribution to the fulfillment of SDG 8, as well as emphasizing the need to consider social sanctions as an essential tool in eradicating modern slave labor and promoting sustainable development.
