The aim of this paper is to analyse the evolution of strategies around recovery and educational actions for rescued workers and vulnerable people, taking as a starting point the study of the experience developed since 2009 by the Integrated Action Project (PAI) in the state of Mato Grosso. Based on the action fronts developed by PAI over time, the potential for tackling the determinants of Contemporary Slave Labour (TEC) related to the inclusion of these workers and the formation of alliances and networks to strengthen vulnerable communities were analysed. The methodological theoretical framework used the inductive-dialectical method, with a view to an emancipatory praxis. The research was bibliographical, with documentary research and research into normative parameters. The work sought to problematise the non-repressive responses of the Brazilian state and civil society, especially since the 2000s, contextualising the genesis of the PAI. After discussing the project's development and action flows, the paper turned its attention to measuring the effectiveness of training actions, exploring intervention potential based on opportunities to build sustainable models of emancipation within a scenario of deepening social injustice and structural vulnerability.
