The expansion of the use of information and communication technologies enabled new models of work management. Thus, this article aims to analyse the main processes that have contributed to the construction of this new management model and how it takes place in the sphere of work on digital platforms, which, despite being considered only mediators, in fact, have mastery over the offers, awards and schedules of each of their "partners". This study was developed from a qualitative approach based on bibliographic research and application of Survey questionnaires through interviews. From the information collected, it was possible to observe that the technology can be used as a tool in maintaining the control of an organization on the workers, while managing the productivity that simultaneously allow the concealment of the employer image, the individual from the work process and maintain the opacity in relation to the relevant data on the activities performed. It is worth noting that the purpose of this research was not to bring a technophobic perspective in relation to work on digital platforms, but to emphasize the phenomena that favour control in this model of work management.
